Meet Sarah

As a long-time resident of Thurston County, I have developed a strong connection to this community, The Port of Olympia and a deep commitment to environmental preservation.

I bring 11 years of experience working in information technology in various roles within private organizations, focusing on resolving technical support issues, managing projects and leading IT teams. This background has provided me with valuable problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset that will be beneficial in serving our community. I hope to bring renewable technology solutions and a fresh perspective to the commission.

Currently residing in Lacey with my two daughters, I am fortunate to be surrounded by the natural beauty of our region. Exploring the breathtaking surroundings has deepened my appreciation for our environment and reinforced my dedication to its preservation.

Why I’m Running

I am running for the Port of Olympia Commission to serve as a progressive leader who will work to protect our environment and the well-being of all community members over any special interests.

My approach to leadership is collaborative, welcoming input from all stakeholders. I will actively engage residents, businesses, and organizations, seeking their perspectives to inform our decisions and improve the Port of Olympia. Together, we can build a stronger and more inclusive Port that benefits everyone.

Additionally, I recognize the importance of utilizing technology to improve our financial practices. By leveraging innovative solutions, we can streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance our environmental stewardship.

With your support, I will serve as an advocate to bring positive change to the Port of Olympia. Together, we will create a thriving Port that reflects the values and aspirations of our community.
